- Purchase tickets and Sign all waiver forms for each person prior to Check In.

- Reservations are required for all kayak rentals and please call to confirm details 815-629-2020
- Check In for weekend tubing at Colored Sands Forest Preserve
- Weekend Check In Address: 10701 Yale Bridge Rd. - Durand, IL
- Check in Times. 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
- Launch Times. No later than 3:30 pm.
- Be off the river by 5:00 p.m. Thank You!!
- Weekend Tubing. No reservations required for tubes during weekends (Saturday & Sunday) or holidays. If your purchased a ticket for a tube rental we will have a tube available.
- Shuttle. "We Will Help You Park Your Vehicle!" On weekends (Saturday and Sundays) and holidays we provide shuttle transportation to our customers. No additional fee is charged for shuttle transportation if a weekend tube of kayak rental is purchased. Shuttle will transport vehicle drivers only.
- Campground Shuttle If you are camping at the Sugar River Forest Preserve on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) or holidays we will provide pick up and drop off shuttle services between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 pm.
- Rain Checks. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to use it due to weather conditions or unable to attend we will keep your reservation open or issue a rain check coupon to be used another day.
- Return Policy "All sales final. If you are unable to attend for any reason we will leave your reservation open to be used on a future date. We may also issue a coupon or gift card for future use"
- Large Group Reservations. Large groups are welcome and please call to confirm details 815-629-2020.
- Weekday Tubing and Kayak (Monday - Friday) group outing reservations are scheduled by phone and invoiced in advance. Call 815-629-2020
- Protect Your Feet. Water shoes or sneakers should be worn at all times.
- Protect Your Phone. Phone Dry Bags are available for purchase through our online store.
- Protect Your Keys. Vehicle keys should be stored in a safe place. Do not take your keys down the river.
- Float Distance. For tube rentals is 1.5 miles and takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- US Coast Guard approved life jackets should be used at all times.
- One standard adult sized Life jackets will be provided with each rental
- For smaller children please ensure you bring your own properly fitted life jacket
- Illinois state law requires all children under the age of 13 wear a US Coast Guard approved life jacket at all times.
- Age 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- No Glass. No glass bottles or containers of any kind on the river!
- No Styrofoam. No Styrofoam coolers on the river.
- No pets. No pets allowed on equipment rentals.
- Parking. Please check in with us first at your designated check in point before parking at Sugar River Forest Preserve.
- Rest Rooms Outdoor outhouse restrooms are available.
- We are open on weekends and holidays unless severe weather is in the forecast or if the river is running at unsafe levels.
- Sugar River Adventures will only transport our rental equipment (tubes & kayaks).
- We utilize public launches and rent tubes and kayaks for personal use.
- People are allowed to bring their own personal watercraft (tubes, kayaks, etc.) to launch from public launches.
- River Tube & Kayak Weight Restriction 300 lbs.
- River Water Depth 3 inches to over 8 feet deep.
