Sugar River Adventures offers customized kayaking experiences for people of all ages like no other. Our activities are nestled within the outlying forest preservations of Winnebago County Illinois. Primary kayaking entrance point is located at the Colored Sands Forest Preserve - Sand Bluff or Yale Bridge canoe launches. If you are looking to spend the whole day kayaking then Trask Bridge Forest Preserve may be your kayak entrance point of choice. We will meet you at your pre-determined exit point then shuttle your group (5 person limit) to your entrance point. Speak with our team to customize entrance and exit points for your group's adventure today!
Once the voyage is underway you determine where you want to paddle. Decide whether you want to stay in one area (maybe to fish), paddle downstream, paddle upstream, or a combination of both. Let us know where to pick you up.
OR customize your paddle time and entrance and exit locations. Speak with our team to plan your kayaking adventure.
You have reached your exit destination. A staff member will meet you and assist with storing your equipment. We appreciate the opportunity to provide you the experience of paddling down the Sugar River!
